About SFSL

San Francisco Seals Swim Team (SFSL) is a year-round swim club affiliated with USA Swimming based in San Francisco, California. We are an entirely parent-run swim team. We are known for an individualized approach to every swimmer, easy access to coaches and board members, as well as camaraderie among swimmers and parents. We offer year-round swim training.

Our Mission

The San Francisco Seals Swim Team aims to provide a safe and supportive environment that protects our children with a positive and motivating experience that builds self-esteem, develops athletes to their fullest potential, and enables them to apply the lessons of competitive swimming to other parts of their life.

Our Vision

The San Francisco Seals Swim Team seeks to provide community youth with a high-quality USA Swimming club and promote the sport of competitive swimming. Our focus is on providing technique training and competitive opportunities for swimmers of all abilities so they can reach their individual and team goals. We succeed thanks to committed swimmers, active family participation, a dedicated board and a professional, motivated coaching staff. San Francisco Seals Swim Team fosters a supportive environment that helps build sportsmanship, character, skills, friendship, and physical well-being.

Team Policies

When joining the team it is your responsibility to know the rules and to follow them. Our Minor Athlete Abuse Protection Policy (MAAPP) is available at any time, please refer to it.

Team Withdrawal: 

Please submit a written notice 30-days prior to your withdrawal to our team email address at sfsealsswim@gmail.com. A verbal notice to the coaches is not considered sufficient notice.
